The purpose of this Chair is to formalise the stable collaboration agreement between the University and Iberdrola for not only creating and transferring knowledge, but also implementing research, innovation and educational activities.

Collaboration agreement with the Tecnológico de Monterrey

Iberdrola and the Tecnológico de Monterrey have signed a collaboration agreement that establishes their collaboration to strengthen the relationship between the company and the academic world in Mexico.

The aim of this agreement is to promote common interests and contribute to innovation in strategic sectors through specialised training, as well as to promote entrepreneurship through its own training actions and the identification of opportunities.

Both institutions share the lines of action: training, scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate students, internal training for Iberdrola's employees, for young entrepreneurs, development of R&D projects and for chairs on specific topics.

Collaboration agreement with the Hamad Bin Khalifa University of Qatar

Iberdrola and the Hamad Bin Khalifa University have signed a collaboration agreement that establishes their collaboration to strengthen the relationship between the company and the academic world in Qatar.

Collaboration agreement with Yale University

Iberdrola has entered into a research and educational cooperation arrangement with Yale University that will forge a closer bond between the company and the academic community in the United States.

The agreement includes new research projects in the areas of energy digitalisation and storage to provide solutions to crucial issues facing businesses. These projects will provide training for students to address environmental and energy challenges and provide Avangrid employees with internal training.

Collaboration agreement with the University of New Mexico

In 2000 Iberdrola created the King Felipe VI Chair in Information Technology and its Applications to develop research and advance knowledge in specific areas of science, information technology and energy, preferably in smart grids, alternative and renewable energies.

Collaboration agreement with the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro

With the aim of fostering Iberdrola's ties with the academic world in Brazil, R&D projects will be carried out tly to develop methodologies and studies that enable the deployment of smart grids in the country's cities, taking the town of Atibaia as an example.

Qatar University

Iberdrola maintains strong cooperation programmes with Qatar's innovation ecosystem and, among its institutions, with Qatar University to foster education and sponsorship of new talent.

Federal University of Itajubá in Brazil

Iberdrola also has agreements with the Federal University of Itajubá in Brazil to promote education.

Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte

The Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte works with Iberdrola to promote education and entrepreneurship.

University of New South Wales

Iberdrola has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of New South Wales to transfer knowledge, attract talent and enhance social contribution. This collaboration aims to carry out research, innovation and training activities in areas of strategic interest to our company.

University of Queensland

Iberdrola has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Queensland to foster talent attraction and knowledge sharing. The relationship provides Iberdrola with access to many of Australia's leading academics in all aspects of energy transition and positions us as a thought leader in Australia's integrated energy transition needs.

University of Melbourne

This type of relationship allows us to position ourselves in Australia's energy transition process and share knowledge with leading institutions in the country.
