The Cathedral of Santiago, one of Saltillo's most iconic architectural landmarks, is entering a new era with the launch of its artistic and sustainable lighting system, thanks to Iberdrola Mexico, Iberdrola's subsidiary in the country, in collaboration with the State Government, the Municipality of Saltillo, the Diocese of Saltillo, and the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH).
This project enhances the majesty of the Cathedral and represents a commitment to the conservation of cultural heritage and care for the environment. The new lighting, based on state-of-the-art LED technology, allows the Baroque and Neoclassical architecture of the temple to be appreciated with greater clarity and detail, while reducing energy consumption and the carbon footprint.
Saltillo is the second city in the country to the Mexico Brilla project.
